Serenity Plus

THIXAR’s Serenity Plus rack system is based on a flexible, modular concept.
An extremely sturdy frame made from special 38-milli­meter-thick MDF panels forms the basic structure. Depending on require­ment, modified THIXAR Silence or Silence Plus isolation plat­forms are then installed onto the inte­grated mounting rails.

The different designs of these two compo­nent plat­forms – one featu­ring dampe­ning (Silence), the other dampe­ning and iso­lation (Silence Plus) – mean that each has a parti­cular focus. Extensive measure­ments have shown that the Silence plat­form is highly effec­tive at rapidly absor­bing vibra­tions emana­ting from hi-fi compo­nents such as sub-chassis turn­tables, power amps and power supply units. A Silence Plus Series platform, on the other hand, is extremely effec­tive at decoup­ling hi-fi compo­nents, such as CD players, power amps, non-suspended turn­tables and pre-amps from the surface on which they rest. This effect can be clearly seen in the early lowe­ring of the trans­mission curve.

Thanks to the flexible choice of plat­form, the Serenity Plus rack can be opti­mally custo­mised for all your exis­ting or future audio compo­nents. The large number of moun­ting rails in the rack allows the spacing between plat­forms to be indivi­dually adjus­ted to perfectly accom­modate compo­nents of diffe­rent heights. Each level has a load-bearing capacity of 40 kilo­grams. The Serenity Plus’s self-explana­tory design prin­ciple means it can be assem­bled in less than 15 minutes.

The thick-walled struc­tural body rests on alumi­nium feet. Being height-adjustable, they allow for simple levelling of the entire rack. Its open, light design not only means it unobtru­sively blends into contem­porary home environ­ments, but ensures good air circu­lation and fast heat dissi­pation as well. The open back provides for easy access to the audio compo­nents, making connec­ting every­thing up a breeze.

THIXAR offers the Serenity Plus in three diffe­rent rack heights and two diffe­rent finishes: matt black or matt white. Custom fini­shes are avai­lable on request. We have pre-assembled a few common configu­rations using the Silence and Silence Plus platforms. However, all of the elements are avai­lable separately.
